Our Fundation

FASPEM  is a non’-profit, non-governmental organization based in Manta, Ecuador, which was constituted in November of 2000 by a group of local and foreign educators, social entrepreneurs and social workers to work for the educational and social development of the Manabí province in.

We implement social and educational projects to benefit children, youth and families in Manabi´s marginalized communities. Our work is carried out according to efficiency and excellence parameters, maintaining high quality standards in all our initiatives.

In less than 7 years we have benefited more than 1800 families through our contribution to community-based development of children, education and preventative health. This success leads us to trace for ourselves more ambitious objectives every year for the improvement of families in Manabi and Ecuador. This also allows us to create opportunities and support the province’s potential in order to make its population an active agent of its own development through participatory processes and local leadership.

Our actions are also aimed at promoting strategic alliances throughout Manabi in order to strengthen civil society in the province. This way, we can improve our work in conjunction with the private sector and government-led initiatives for the progress of Manabi.

Mission
Our mission is to continue to provide social and educational support for the sustainable development of the urban and rural population of the Manabí province through participatory, democratic processes, which are executed according to the principles of quality and humanity, efficiency and effectiveness, and aiming to live in a more just, equal and healthy society for Manabí.

“We believe in social justice, not charity”
